Now Lets compare with the centres very closely as I'm very close to both the centres.
CDAC Acts is best just because of Madhura Mam. I mean she is heart of Acts guys. By the way sunbeam is good as they compel people to do hard work and teach to the depth. Even if a person is very lazy or too mischievous (like me ), has to work hard. Acts guys are not forced as such.
But yes, people in acts are considered genius, and won't be given knowledge from root of the language.
Consider an example, CPP is taught to Acts guys as if the students were born "Denis Ritchie". In this respect Sunbeam guys have better base. On the other hand, those born genious consider this as "spoon feeding".

Oracle is taught by beloved Asia Pacific Head Sameer Dehadrai Sir, who is the best. He used to teach Oracle in Acts too, earlier. But from the last 2 batches he don't.
As far as .Net is concerned, Sunbeam and Acts both have equivalent faculty.
Operating System is taken at kernel level both in Acts and Sunbeam.
AWT(Advanced Web-Tech [formerly FWT]) - is taken partially in Sunbeam and not at all good in Acts.
SE- Best now in Sunbeam as Dinesh Sir, takes it now there, and in Acts it used to be best as earlier Dinesh Sir was here.

WHY NOT GO TO KP OR ECITY?
You will get placed, but you may not survive in IT as there competition is too much. Companies do keep firing people and take new people. Or most of times you get overloaded with work and may not be able to complete as you were genious and no body taught you deep.

I am from computer background, from Pune university.
I had appear for Dec'14 C-CAT and was able to secure 63rd rank for PGDAC.
I am confused about which center to select for PGDAC, ACTS? or Sunbeam?.
I have heard lot of good stuff about Sunbeam (even in your blog) and also did Pre-DAC from here but not much about ACTS except good and early placements, so I have some queries regarding that..
Does ACTS carries extra activities for PD?
Does ACTS carries personal campuses as well?
Are teachers of ACTS approachable enough after class?
Is there really a difference in period for which JAVA is taught in ACTS and Sunbeam?
How strict is punctuality at both centers? (Not important)
How come ACTS placements happens early if companies don't give preference by center?
and last one,
Even as companies don't prefer selection considering center in pool campus, do companies do so in open campus?
hoping to receive help from you, skip any useless question.
Also, can suggest me a center.

ya ACTS also conduct classes for business communication but it is far less than what you have got in sunbeam .. they work very hard in each guy ..
Delete2 no ACTS doesn't have any personal campus .. even sunbeam brought near about 80 company for placement but it for all the student across Pune (CDAC centre ) same way CDAC ACTS so placement is centralised
3 as you have done pre-DAC from there .. you knew Sandeep sir .. he is the famous teacher of C++ even his notes is preferred by CDAC ACTS students .. go there you may find student study from there notes on the other hand CDAC ACTS have madhura mam she is famous for JAVA .. she also used to give lecture in sunbeam but from last batch she is not there .. but this batch java is taught by sundeep sir .. and the buiety is that they managed to teach each and every guy java even he is not interested this is the beauty of various activity that is conducted in sunbeam
you knew that rank is the decided by your aptitute .. and even in campus aptitute is matter and in rallity CDAC ACTS guys are ahead in it .. but when we come to techically .. sunbeam guys are far much exposed to programming and in company it's very easy to survive and growth also ..
if your apti and communicaiton skill is good or fair enough __(some times not matter in campus ) finallly i prefer you to take admission in CDAC ACTS

this is really very good info.I am from EC background and i got 106(dac) in c-cat but i don't think my technical is very good.so where should i go??what about placement, i got 58.5% agrregate in B.E. Should i be worried??

I got 256 rank in predac. I am confused between acts and sunbeam which to prefer. I have 58.41 % in engineering aggreggate. Plz suggest me.
